*The mango sorbet was a bust. Fruit not ripe enough. I guess I'll have to smell the base next time, wherever that is.

ReplyDeleteIn God We Trust hails back to the early days of the country when as long as you didn't mention a specific God, it was considered non-sectarian. Back then I don't think they had much of a notion about atheists or agnostics.

Not only on the motto on the money, but I've always wondered why the President doesn't take the oath of office on a copy of the U.S. Constitution instead of a Bible. It's the Constitution, not the Book of Ruth the President's swearing to uphold and defend.
