Mocking season open
Seriously, I can't even watch this. And please don't feel obliged to either. It's just to prove that I do know all the words to at least one song. Now go ahead and mock.
You've given me an early morning laugh. I assume your parents lived in a single family dwelling, not some place with a shared wall. For the sake of the neighbors' ears and sanity, I hope so.
I am sitting here with a grin so big my cheeks hurt. I think my favorite part is the bridge, when you lipsynched to the guitar (after relaxing with a puff). I applaud your courage, creativity, and cutiepieness. This ranks right up there with "I Dance For You," another Torn classic.
I so remember this song. It is "Urgent". You did a great job and I love Foreigner. Next time I want to hear "Double Vision" or "Hot Blooded". I loved the smoke break in the middle. Thanks for cheering me up so I can get through this hump day. Ed

I LOVE IT!!!!! This song reminds me of Devo, as we used to listen to Urgent endlessly. I loved the chair dancing, the facial expressions and the Peter Gabriel-esque-ness of it all! The smoke only added to the 80s-ness of it!

That was gorgeous on so many levels, you are geeky and brave and cool all at the same time, how fun is that??? You made me laugh and want to make one back, seems like a fun trend to start, watching everyone lipsync to corny 80's tunes....

Oh, that was great...nothing to mock here. All the lyrics, and some easy-going head-choreography (you know what I mean). Nice to see someone comfortable in their own skin...and so nice to see a live version of our host!!
I have to say, tho, I half-expected to see Serge and Sara pop in as back-up singers for some of those "urgent" echoes toward the end of the song. I'm betting you were in a locked, sound-proofed room, though, eh?

The sign of a great work of art is if it stays with you after the initial experience. Later today I noticed the sly dramatic irony inherent in the ultimate casual act -a drag on a cigarette- coming in the bridge of this song, thus contradicting the 'urgency' of the lyrics. There are so many layers to this. Again, well done.

I think this should be a regular feature on your blog. If you don't know all the lyrics to a song, look them up online...or improvise. That would be great too! :)
I think this was the first time I could see what the living and breathing Tornwordo actually looks like. So I'll be on the lookout. But - all things considered - you'll understand if I'm sorta wary of shaking your hand...
