A quick pop-in

When I got to work Monday, I looked up and saw what looked like a rainbow. Except it wasn't raining, it was snowing. So I guess it would have to be called a snowbow. It was a first for me. Apparently it's pretty rare, so maybe it's the only one I'll ever see. Pretty neato, eh?

Yesterday I had to review all the verb tenses in class. Then I had to show how they shifted when reporting what someone else said. For example, "I'm hungry." What did Torn just say, I didn't hear him. Oh, Torn said that he was hungry. I think I may have confused them more than I cleared things up.

My cuties. Always fun to come home after a long day at work. Today is especially brutal. Out the door at 8 and back at 9:30. At noon we'll be halfway to the weekend. Woohoo!

  1. That's Georgie's sexy pose

The verb tense thing is always mind blowing. Takes a few times for it to sink in. Why is it not correct to say "Torn said he is hungry"

  2. I often wonder if I could pass one of your classes...LOL!

Georgie needs a modesty patch on his peener! He's going to take someone's eye out with that thing!

  3. Georgie looks like he could do a hairtoss. Might come in handy.

  4. I didn't know snowbows could exist! Very cool. I wonder if it was actually raining up high, or if they can form with snow particles too.

Did you hear that everyone? Torn said he were done saw a snowbow.

  5. What a cute photo. Verbs are the reason foreign speak has always been beyond my brain.

  6. I'm thinking maybe Serge needs to be the one greeting you like that when you get home.

When we went to HI a few years back, we saw a moonbow while sitting on the lava fields in the middle of the night. Magical.

  7. I've seen a snowbow before but they are indeed rare.

That white board made my head explode.

  8. Is Georgie doing doggie porn now? :) I can barely speak English correctly, much less try to speak another language. Argh.

    HUGS...

  9. I can't imagine trying to explain past tense in that fashion. "But he's still hungry, no?"

  10. I have never seen a snowbow before, until today. And what a great word!

Funnily enough, that pic of Serge and Georgie somehow says “home” to me.

(Upon re-reading a comment I had put in your last post, I suddenly realized how off-topic, off-tone, and morbid it sounded. I hope it did not come off sounding completely douchey to you, because that was not my intention, but my apologies if it did.)

  11. Didn't Torn say that he is hungry?

Word verification: ratstu. It's what's for dinner!

  12. Snowbow!!!

My word verification is: penia. Quite apt. (and I typed penis twice before my fingers found the right key)

Verb tenses in English are probably the worst.

I remember my first brush with Spanish in high school. You know, tener, tengo et al. That and the definite articles and gender pronouns. But once you got past it, it all made sense.

    Georgie is quite the exhibitionist.

  16. This, to me, sounds like a really great day. Not to sound cliché or anything, but this really was a beautiful day and I can hope that I'll have someone to come home to like you do.

  17. Serge looks 14 years old in that photo, and Georgie looks... well, too cute for words, as usual. :-)

  18. I've seen snowbows before, too. I didn't know they were rare, so let's just consider ourselves extra special, k?

I love Georgie's shameless pose. I hope he has excellent bladder control. I wonder if it works the same way with dogs, if you put his paw in warm water. Or is that a teenage girl slumber party thing? Nevermind :)
