A quick pop-in
When I got to work Monday, I looked up and saw what looked like a rainbow. Except it wasn't raining, it was snowing. So I guess it would have to be called a snowbow. It was a first for me. Apparently it's pretty rare, so maybe it's the only one I'll ever see. Pretty neato, eh?
Yesterday I had to review all the verb tenses in class. Then I had to show how they shifted when reporting what someone else said. For example, "I'm hungry." What did Torn just say, I didn't hear him. Oh, Torn said that he was hungry. I think I may have confused them more than I cleared things up.
My cuties. Always fun to come home after a long day at work. Today is especially brutal. Out the door at 8 and back at 9:30. At noon we'll be halfway to the weekend. Woohoo!

Funnily enough, that pic of Serge and Georgie somehow says “home” to me.
(Upon re-reading a comment I had put in your last post, I suddenly realized how off-topic, off-tone, and morbid it sounded. I hope it did not come off sounding completely douchey to you, because that was not my intention, but my apologies if it did.)
I remember my first brush with Spanish in high school. You know, tener, tengo et al. That and the definite articles and gender pronouns. But once you got past it, it all made sense.
I've seen snowbows before, too. I didn't know they were rare, so let's just consider ourselves extra special, k?
I love Georgie's shameless pose. I hope he has excellent bladder control. I wonder if it works the same way with dogs, if you put his paw in warm water. Or is that a teenage girl slumber party thing? Nevermind :)

ReplyDeleteThe verb tense thing is always mind blowing. Takes a few times for it to sink in. Why is it not correct to say "Torn said he is hungry"
I often wonder if I could pass one of your classes...LOL!

ReplyDeleteWhen we went to HI a few years back, we saw a moonbow while sitting on the lava fields in the middle of the night. Magical.
