Spouse endures Christmassy pestering

Really, he was singing the song just moments before I picked up the camera.

Also, the French words spoken:

T'es fatiguant calisse! = You are annoying, chalice!

T'es con. = You are a fool.

Toi, t'es con. = It is you who is the fool.

Hilarious! When you did the close up of Serge's teeth set to Yo-de-le-he-hoo...priceless.

Merry Christmas!

The video was fabulous as usual. Thanks for the French lesson. Spouse is a good sport even though I think he was threatening to kill all of us. Serge is shy to sing which is cute. Could you get a little closer to his mouth next time? LOL, you guys are a great team!

So, calling someone a drinking goblet is a curse in French?

Made me think of that Danny Kay movie, you know...

"Hawkins: I've got it! I've got it! The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! Right?

Griselda: Right. But there's been a change: they broke the chalice from the palace!

Hawkins: They broke the chalice from the palace?

Griselda: And replaced it with a flagon.

Hawkins: A flagon...?

Griselda: With the figure of a dragon.

Hawkins: Flagon with a dragon.

Griselda: Right.

Hawkins: But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?

Griselda: No!!! The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!

Hawkins: The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.

Heheh.

See this article for a good explanation of the "chalice" epithet.

Happy happy, everyone!

That was "T'es fatiguant calisse"? Oh, that really makes me think I'll never have a solid grasp of French. Not that I'm anywhere near fluent, but if you'd played that for me 100 times I never would have been able to make out that he said "T'es fatiguant calisse."

lucridia: thanks for offering the explanation of the chalice reference. I was wondering about that.
