Blathery

It snowed yesterday. Little flurries all day long wafting about. You probably heard all of us groan, "Already?" I can remember 70 degree days at this time of year but not this time it seems. Ah well what are you gonna do. (I find it interesting that blogger accepts gonna as a correctly spelled word.) I was out teaching yesterday and it was one of those days. I got all the way out to my class when I realized that I hadn't brought my ipod. (Blogger has highlighted hadn't and ipod as non-words) Good thing I had left early (to shop for a scarf) because I had just enough time to turn around and go home and get it. I need the ipod for the listening exercises in class. So it was an hour and a half of driving instead of a half an hour. Yuck. Then after class I had a two hour window until my evening class. I had to cross the island to the South shore during rush hour. It wasn't as bad as I'd feared and took me an hour. That gave me time to aquire some sustenance so I went to a greasy diner and had a blt with fries. (Blogger agrees that blt is correctly spelled.) Then I had three students show up out of 16. Why do people sign up for a class and then not attend? This I don't understand. Georgie was alone in the house for four hours which was a first. Yay, no pees, no poos, no damage. I'm falling so hard for him that I keep thinking that he's going to get sick and die or something. How could he be so perfect? Ah well, better enjoy the ride while we can. I'm off today, so I'll be damned if I don't go shopping for a new scarf. It's coooold out there!

Funny the words the "internet" will accept as being ok.

I am so glad you have a new pooch to shower with love and affection. I showed his pic to Mrs Coffeedog and she was enamored :-)

If people sign up for a class and don't attend, they're not the kind of people you want to teach anyway, right?

Blogger didn't object to aquire?

Shudder. I thought there was a "c" in that word but since blogger didn't flag it, I let it go.

Loved the spelling asides!
As for persons not attending class, may I assume that someone else is paying for the class? I found that to be true when I was teaching.

BobVT: For some knitters, scarves may be the sine qua non, but for others of us, they're just boring.

It's funny to think you having snow now, while it is almost tropically warm here in San Francisco, of all places. Ever since Tuesday's big rainstorm, it's been unusually mild and VERY humid here. It feels more like the East coast than the West right now.

it hasn't snowed over here yet, but i'm pretty sure it will soon. i've already fetched my winter coat from the attic, so i'm prepared!

I must admit, that "gonna" is a word in many Americanized circles...go ahead, shudder now. Along with "ain't." And, say there Georgie boy, there you go being all grown up and not crapping on the carpet while your Daddies are away! Way to go!

I hadn't realized that your story was gonna end with you falling in love with a blt and an ipod. (fyi- just testing your theory...actually mixed corrections in blogger comments)

We don't have snow yet, but we've got the cold air. The fire's been a-burnin' in the old wood stove for the last two days.

Georgie is a happy pup!

You know, when I got the Wonder Dog, I felt the same way. I'd drive up the road to my house, fearing that he would be dead on the floor. How, I don't know, but still I'd imagine it and worry about it.

So glad you and Georgie Porgie found each other.

VUBOQ is quite a skilled little scarf maker.

I already saw my first snow of the season, oddly enough in High Altitude Urban Center rather than MFT.

I agree. You have the skills and yet you buy a scarf. Tsk, tsk.

I have a new scarf, hat and glove combo. I went with black, grey, red and white stripes. It's totally me.

Certainly getting colder earlier this year. So far, we've snuck by without snow, but it gets closer every day, sounds like. Brrr.

Can't believe you have snow already. This reminds me why I don't live in Canada, despite the fact that same-sex marriage is legal there.

Hurray for Georgie the good boy!
