Sicky spouse

Ahhh, we're back into sunset season here. The sun has swung back around to where it shines in the living room and throughout the apartment every evening. This makes it all glary on the tv which is probably a good thing. All they seem to talk about is the darn flu anyway. I've got a student who has been vacationing in Mexico for the last two weeks and is due to return tomorrow. All the people who work around him in the office have urged the boss to give him an extra week off at home because they won't feel comfortable with him in the office.

Yesterday morning, I saw people in the metro with masks. I couldn't help but roll my eyes since there are zero cases here in Montreal so far.

Serge though, he's really sick. With a really bad cold. I haven't seen him this noisy with the coughing ever. When it wakes me up I want to hate him for it, but then I refind my pity response and think, "poor little guy." Nonetheless, I told him to sleep on the sofa last night. And the hacking still woke me up clear away from the other room. Such is life in a sicky household.

Poor Serge! I hope he is feeling better soon and that you can get some sleep. Either that or he's keeping you up all night for better reasons.

they wonder why we panic then keep talking about how many have died from the Swine Flu. All teh deaths have been Mexicans. My theory is that since most of them are descendants of Aztec Indians they don't have as much immunity as the rest of us. Let's look back to the early 17th century shall we? When the first Europeans came to he new world they brought new diseases and over half of the native population died. Get better Serge. Torn please let him back into the bedroom soon. ed

Those masks are useless against any virus; if you can breathe, a virus will get through.

Hey, Serge is the one who is sick and needs rest. YOU should be on the couch. ;-)

Hey, word ver gave me a real word: ditch.

Poor Serge! Is he staying home from work? He should. His coworkers would probably appreciate it if he did.

I agree with Birdie and dr. mo... you sleep on the couch, mr. healthy!

Unless, he prefers it that way.

Sorry he's feeling badly.

Hope Serge feels better soon, and you get a full night's sleep.

I am with Birdie, Dr. Mo, and Laveren. The sick and infirm have priority over the bed.

I hope he is better soon.

You went from "poor little guy" to "sleep on the couch." That was fast! Hehe, sorry, Serge is getting the vote today. Hope he feels better soon.

I love that it is sunset season again.

I suspect the sleeping arrangements might be a little different tonight.

Ummm... "really bad cold" is another way to describe some of the swine flu symptoms. I'm just sayin'. And you should definitely let him sleep in the bed, but only after he drinks half a bottle of Nyquil (or the Canadien equivalent).

could be bronchitis. make him go to a doctor. at the very least he could get an inhaler that would help his bronchial tubes relax some.

and because you're king of all that is poop, commissioned comic has another special, just for you.

Serge took the sofa? Your pity disappeared awfully quickly! Lol

I'm with you...put him on the sofa. You need your beauty rest.

Here's hoping that Serge feels better so you both be back in the same bed (or same couch) where you belong.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets hateful when there's a sick spouse coughing and hacking and snorting. :)

Here's wishing Serge a quick recovery.
