Blip

We've had such a heat wave this week. The heavy hot muggy kind. I am in love with our air conditioning. I am grateful that the workplace also has air conditioning. The only drag is on public transportation where the collective sweat of millions of humans seems to coat every surface and poison the air with its stench. Luckily the workplace is only a 20 minute ride. And speaking of work, yesterday a nice Australian lady approached me and said, "I know you! ..... But you don't know who I am." I stood looking at her thinking, "I don't know this person." Then she said she read my blog. She was in the building taking advantage of the free language courses that are paid for by the government for immigrants. This is the first time an anonymous reader has recognized me out there. I thought it was pretty cool, but it also reminded me to be careful what I relate vis-a-vis my students and my workplaces. I wouldn't want to have any awkward situations arise.

Woke up late, nothing else to relate, you're already done with this and isn't that great?

Hi anonymous Australian woman!

I found out about a lurker on my blog. I know her, though. She's a good friend of my daughter. She confessed to reading my blog, but she doesn't comment. It makes me wonder how many others read what I write. Kinda scary if I think about it.

How often do you have the hot muggy heat up there? It's like that here for 4 to 5 months every year. Most places are air conditioned, of course, except the school buses. That's one reason I don't drive the bus anymore.

I'm a little jealous - I'll be honest - even though I knew it was ridiculous, I kept an eye out for you while I was in Montreal!!

A Bombay gin man. Torn, you rock!

We've had the same heat wave. Then we get these cloudbursts. It hasn't been a great summer weatherwise.

As long as she isn't stalking you, that's cool.

The ungodly heat here is supposed to break tomorrow. It can't happen too soon, since we only have a single window a/c unit in the bedroom.

I say even stalkers are fun, as long as they're not the murderous kind.

It's pretty hot and muggy here in L-dot too. The lack of air conditioning in my apartment is ... difficult.

Celebrity has it's price. Oh those damn paparazzi.

Ugh.

The weather here in Hollywood has been great. We have had a mild summer. One thing you cant't say is bad about L.A. is the weather. I think this place is paradise.

I DREAM of being recognized for my blog. But I guess I'd need more than just a handful of readers to increase the chances, eh?

I totally hear ya on the public transportation front. Each more I slather my stupid pores with Neutrogene Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser (feat. MicroClear Technology) just to step into the subway and have my face bombarded with humid sweat splatterz and dirty railroad remnants. HATEZ. IT.

We here in New England have been having it hot. I agree - air conditioning is the best.

Funny to be recognized by a reader.

I wonder all the time about "real life" people reading my blog without my knowledge. That is, when I used to post, huh?

We shook the heatwave and are due several lovely 80s summer days. Unless Ana, Bill or Claudette have something to say about that.
