Serge used up the rest of last weekend's turkey last night. He made a "hot chicken" except with turkey. Peas are essential for this recipe. Twas delicious. I'm shocked (looking at the picture now) I finished it all and had a bowl of ice cream after. There's always room for Rocky Road it seems.
He cracked me up too yesterday when he referred to the band "the barnacle ladies". I asked him if he was sure of the name of the band as I hadn't heard of it before. Then it dawned on me. "Do you mean Bare Naked Ladies?" Indeed, that was what he meant.
It's a very busy week for me so it should be an easy read around here. Short and sweet. Happy Monday all. (FYI, I wheedled one more week for sara, yay.)

Mmmm. Yum.
And forever more I will be thinking of the Barnacle Ladies.
Wow, what a huge lookin meal. Munchies, much?
What a nice Blue Plate special. I've never thought of Turkey and Fried Potatoes together.
One more week is all we can hope for. There are no guarantees for any of us. The Barnacle Ladies are just like the Bare Naked Ladies but more clingy. ed
So relieved that you have another week with Sara. I hope that next week, the news is the same - another week. I hope that it just keeps going and going. It's heartbreaking to loose one's family member.
LOL. Barnacle ladies!!! :P Serge is totally cute. :)
Btw, guts much, boys? That's three dinners for me. :P
Is the the Canadian version of the American casserole?
Take pictures of your sweet Sara. We want that week, too.
" Is this," dangit.
I was watching "Bon Cop Bad Cop" on the CBC last night and it reminded me of you and Serge. I am sure there are many Barnacle Ladies stories to tell (for both of you).
I thought about Sara several times this weekend, and was almost sure I'd find this morning that she was in doggie heaven. Don't keep her from it too long.
HUGS,
Mark :-)
By "peas are essential," do you really mean "peas must smoother everything else on the plate?" Looks intriguing, though.
I've hidden peas in mashed potatoes before, but they don't hide well in french fries.
Barnacle ladies is hilarious! Ed is hilarious, too. "but more clingy."
Enjoy the week with Sara, bittersweet though it is.
I just hate peas. Hate hate hate them. Peas! Blech! Sorry.
Barnacle Ladies is bare Naked Ladies with EDGE.
Looks like a great lunch presentation at a Diner, and I LOVE diners and diner food.
we want sara stories!

I've never had that. I've had hot turkey but only with mashed potoates. It looks really good, minus the peas.
Eeewwww peas and canned peas at that. But I'm glad you enjoyed it! The Barnacle Ladies, how cute is that??!!
One has to watch the mechanics nowdays. Amazing how just having your tires rotated got them interested in problems with your engine. Something is not right with that.
We just had a transmission replaced last month and having it inspected the month before showed it was in decent shape. We learned our lesson with that specific place of business.
The mis-pronounciation of the band reminds me of the Village People's song "In the Navy." The phrase "in the navy" as sang in the song I used to think was "spin the daisies." This was back in the early '80's mind you that I thought that.
No ketchup for the fries??
I hate peas.
Just so you know.
I want that. Now.
