What the ?

We came across this sticker posted in the nature reserve. It reminded me of Sesame Street. One of these things is not like the other. One of them doesn't belong.

Let me see if I can comprehend. For a collective conscience, McDonald's and bombs are bad, trees and Quebec are good? What if the American flag was in the bottom right corner instead? Frankly, I just don't get it. And why so angry at McDonald's. They just feed us, don't they? I mean, I 'd rather see Halliburton or even Walmart in that bottom left corner.

And finally, why are you sullying up the nature reserve with stickers? That's not really loving the trees, and anyway, if we are in the nature reserve, it's probably a good bet that we like trees. Dumb hippies. (I love hippies, but this is just dumb.)

I guess they're trying to say that they want a green Quebec, hence the fleur de lys? I agree that it doesn't make sense to put a sticker in a nature reserve. That's funny.

I think a traditional regulations sign at the entrance to the trails or the park would be quite enough.

Free Quebec plant a tree avoid bombs and McDonalds damn hippies. Bombs kill us and McDonalds make us fat. Trees give us wood and wood is good Quebec wants to join France and leave Canada but what if France don't want them? LOL.

Nah, no one cares about fat people...except fat peoples' mothers, of course. Well, some of them, anyway.

For decades, McDonalds has been plundering the globe. Here's a more recent publication. And these are just the tip of the iceberg. You can find much more via Google.

Then, there's the general impact of meat production on the whole environment, natch.

Not that it matters to me. I'd just as soon brutally saw off your doggie's head and eat it raw and warm, along with some tasty McFries cooked in lard, than bother protesting against McDonalds. I mean, like, who the hell wants to preserve this pathetic spinning ball of misery?!

Dine on putrid flesh, dudes, and be grateful for the chance. It'll be too late soon enough!

The green circle around the fleur de lis is too funny.

What?!? -- I can't go hiking unless I have a Big Mac and a 500 ton explosive. Forget it, man, there is no way I am going to that forest.

Maybe it is like with many french things...lost in the translation?

That is just too funny! Someone had either too much imagination or not enough.

Tree pretty, bomb bad.

Good God. How we all love a scapegoat. And trees, of course.

They should have put a picture of Ronald McDonald instead. That clown is creepy.

I hope the sticker was made of 100% recycled paper.

Sometimes the people who hate the haters become the haters they hate.

This sticker demonstrates the above phenomenon.

I've spent far too much time thinking about it, and there is simply no way that sticker makes sense. It's sort of like those "inspirational" photos of Pres Dubya superimposed on a cross, as if to suggest he's a messiah figure.

I think it's pretty straight forward. They aren't protesting the specific bomb they have pictured (there are many different kinds, right?) anymore than they are protesting the specific fast food mega-corporation they have pictured. Both are emblematic of a larger global problem.

There are worse things than environmental secessionists.

Those hippies had better be careful before they go after McDonald's. Our Air Force apparently has a new thing. They're accidentally taking nukes out for flights. Apparently, some of our nuclear warheads are getting an urge to see the world, having been cooped up indoors for so long. Hippies taking shots at sacred institutions like Mickey D's could have something to worry about! ;)
