Quick question
If it's not okay to talk about sex in too much detail during prime time, how is it okay to mention a "decrease in semen" as a side effect for Flomax, the drug that helps you pee better. Mommy, what is semen?
There was a huge billboard at the busiest intersection of the city that we passed through every day. One month a restaurant invited reviews with "Let's compare Peter's." My precocious four-year-old reader wanted to know what it meant. I gave the obvious response (since she had no clue) and cursed the marketing genius who actually thought that was clever.
When I was a young girl I hated all the commercials for "women" things for that time of the month, to make you smell better and ease cramps. I was always embarrassed because my dad was watching.

Or the erection lasting more than four hours.
On the métro on sunday, the little girl next to me saw a poster advertising a new play here in Paris and said "Mommy, what's a libido?"....
classy.

"They're nice people who work on boats, and have lots of fun when they come home from the sea, Torny. Go fix some popcorn."
This sounds like another case of the cure being worse than the disease!
I've always thought that violence is much more damaging to young minds than sex.

In olden days a hint of stocking was looked on as something shocking. Now, heaven knows, anything goes!

I miss out on so much not watching TV!

Why can't for once the side effect be, "an increase in semen?"

very well parsed point; no discretion at all in those ads.
