Quick question

Spring does a couple of things to me. It makes me want to clean and hornifies me. Not at the same time, mind you. As for spouse, I think it softens up his heart. I caught him looking at Labradoodles on the internet. (Cross between labrador and poodle) He was actually looking for our next breed of dog. Yay!

What does spring do to you?

It definitely makes the sap run [*a-hem8] ;) ] for me - esepcially when it gets warm enough for guys to go shirtless.

It makes me want to clean and reorganize. I'm very boring.

About Labradoodles, I have read a nightmarish post of a Labradoodle owner. Whose describe her dog as a stinking shaky rag warp around an alarm clock that goes off at 4am everyday with no Off button.

I would highly recommended you read the opinion online first. Why not a nice golden retriver though? :)

I concur with you.

I love spring and the rebirth of the Earth. Nature is waking up after a long hibernation and puts me in a great mood. I don't care for fall at all, everything dieing off.

Spring makes me want a baby. Oh wait, summer, winter and fall do that, too.

Uhhh, it makes me want to clean, for sure. Especially the windows. Correction. It makes me want my windows clean and I begrudgingly clean them.

I knew you guys would be getting puppy fever again, woo hoo!!

I hate losing the sun during the winter, especially for the drive home at night. So that's the first thing I look forward to with the coming of Spring...DAYLIGHT!!!!
The daylight means I have both the light and more moderate temps to ride my bike should I choose when I get home from work.
I also get the urge to go somewhere and do something neat and unusual. That can be anything from a daytrip to the Finger Lakes with my man, to antiquing with my man, to a trip to Philadelphia with my man or a trip to NYC with my man or anywhere else as long as it's with my man and/or my son and/or a friend or two. Alone time is nice, too. Pittsburgh is lovely this time of year, too....Mmmmmmm Kennywood reopens.
Yeah, the sap starts to rise in me, too. Go figure..............

I want to get into shape once spring hits, after all those nights of sitting on the couch in the early dark watching TV.

Dogs rule.

I get to look at what needs attention in the yard. Checking the yard for the usual Spring growth is another indication for me. Presently, it is doing its usual rain for days impression in the North West.

I feel the desire to reorganize and clean at any seasonal change; Spring though triggers a small, barely noticeable sense of optimism. It feels like positive change is both possible and imminent.

I put the winter bike into storage and then realize that my first races are only weeks away.

I feel the need to clean, and the need to have lots of sex.

Kinda works well, as nobody would sleep with me if they saw the mess I hibernate in for the winter...

Makes me want to box up my little Malti-poo and send him up to see you for a visit! He's a lover. You may not send him back.

No! Labradoodles! Trust me on this.

If you'd like, though, I'd gladly let you borrow Tuck when we're up there in June. David would object to bringing him, but I'd love to have him nearby.

I wanted a Labradoodle, but we can't afford to buy a dog, especially when so many are wanting homes. We ended up rescuing a dog from her rescuer, and she is the perfect dog. (Lab/basenji mix)

I love light, and spring brings me more. It makes me want to return to the outdoors again.

sneeze with spring allergies!

open up the windows and "let the winter stink out", as my grandmother used to say.

sit in the sunshine!

I'm definitely more a spring/summer person so it gets the juices flowing.

My first sign of spring, running for antihistamines both the pill form and the eye drops. And that has already started.

Thats the other thing I love, when the weather gets warm the guys start stripping down. Oh yeah!

To me, spring is the rebirth of all that died during the bleak months of winter. It is rebirth. It is hope. It is . . . beautiful.

Spring makes me feel optimistic. I think I might possibly 'do something' with our yard this year, I will try harder to lose weight for the approaching beach weather, I will create that big piece of art that is still stuck in my mind, and I will not look at the end of summer thinking 'Where did all the time go?'

Jess said...

Hornifies, eh? I like that. And that also is one of the effects on me. Of course, my better half, in response to my saying spring makes me horny would, no doubt, respond, "Everything makes you horny!"

I have a great Labradoodle in my life, one of my friends "owns" her. Awesome smart and playful and her tail is a constant enduster! Watch out! They grow big and have boundless energy.
Spring here is sking in the morning and walking the beach in the afternoon ...and early shorts on boys! ChristopherYVR

Yah, Spring gets me that way, too. Now's the cleaning...but as the evenings warm and the air fills with the scents of earth and flowers, then the Hornification sets in.

Big time.

(Oh, yay! A puppy! Really. A Labradoodle?)

Spring makes me want to travel. To DRIVE! To drive past my usual exit on the interstate and keep going until I get somewhere I haven't been before, or to get to someone I haven't seen in a long time. I do not want to stay home, and I do NOT want to clean!

Phronk said...

Definitely hornifies me too. I try cleaning too but just end up humping everything.
