Okay so I went ahead and took pictures all day yesterday. Here I am in the morning getting ready to get into the shower. Serge was sleeping at the time and I was going to post the picture of him here in his slumbering pose but he forbade it. I can see why, it wasn't all that flattering. So you get to see half naked me instead.
I've weighed that exact amount for 8 days running now. Perhaps I've reached stasis. Weird though how it looks as though my right foot is swollen.
All prettied up and ready to go to work. I have got to get a haircut today. This has just been added to my list.
A whole year and the orchid doesn't bloom. Then finally it started to.....only to shrivel up and die before opening. Any idea why the thing would change its mind?
A quick breakfast before heading out. I'm on a Cheez Whiz kick right now, though I would spurn this on veggies as the lid suggests. Every time I read it I think "adds vegetability to people."
The one outdoor shot I got. It rained like the dickens all day long. I got this on the bus by opening the window when we were at a stoplight. This caused some consternation for the passengers near me.
My first class is in a building shared by the Institute of Beers. I always wonder what goes on in there.
After that class, I rush down to the World Trade Center for my lunchtime class. They've got a piece of the Berlin Wall displayed down there. I didn't know what it was for a long time because I never stopped to check it out. One good thing about 12 of 12 is that you discover things that were right under your nose all along. Montreal too had its own wall surrounding the city a couple hundred years ago.
Done for the day so it's down into the underground tunnels leading to the subway.
Here comes the train!
Home. Time to play my turn of Scramble with Steven.
Finally, din din in front of the tv. Twas pretty good last night with artichoke, filet mignon (on sale) mac n cheese (stouffers) and a little salad to assuage the guilt over the fattiness of it all.
To see others who have participated this month, check out Chad's blog where this all started.

Orchids are not easy to grow that is why Horticulturists enjoy them. I suspect the humidity was too low and the temperature as well. The Rain forest must be duplicated to make an Orchid happy.
I wish I could have seen Serge in repose. I'm sure he looked sweet.
I've never tried Artichoke but the rest of the meal looks delicious! ed
I'm glad dinner was good because I couldn't have choked down b'fast.
My hubs drinks Labatt. He would totally barge in there, I'm sure. He gets giddy when we're in Canada and the bottles don't say "Imported from Canada" and yes, we're easily amused :)
I love the pic of the train station although I think it would creep me out to be down there with only a few people.
I just loved this post. Who would think that a picture of someone's dinner could be interesting. More please.
Wow, that's a much yummier meal than the one in my 12 for the 12th. Causing consternation to fellow passengers, no I didn't do that either. :)
HUGS...
My day was so boring I didn't bother doing a 12 of 12 yesterday. At least I'm in one! YAY! btw, how do you cook an artichoke?
So, what is this??? 12 on 13??? A whole new gig!
Nice toes and tummy...oh, and artichoke too.
I am going to go out on a limb, but I suspect that they might be drinking in the Institute of Beer.
great post! happy friday the 13th!!!
Hubba hubba! <--of you in your somewhat open robe. That dinner looks tasty. Have a great weekend.
My my, the subway is just gleaming. I'm so used to the Red Line from South Station out to Boston. The stations for the most part are pretty disgusting looking.
Who the hell chooses brown brick for a station?
...the orchid doesn't bloom could it be that the bloom died of shock when it saw the translucent butterfly?
-orchids need lots of sun (12 hours/day if you can pull it off), and some water (distilled is better), but not too much- misting works well.
-i've got a bottle of that spray kind of cheeze wiz in my fridge!
-mmm dinner looked good, although, i've never had artichoke that way before.
glad you took the pictures and shared them!
Peter cracked me up.
That's a lot of dinner there buddy, but it all sure looks tasty.
Oh my gosh! I adore that dinner-and-artichoke, fabulous. A wonderful post-pix are terrific!
Happy Friday 13th!!
hh
oh my artichokes...luff them..the train station is so 'clean'..just stopped by to say howdy from casa del retardo..
Orchids are fussy, fussy, FUSSY!!! They require just the right amounts of sunlight and humidity. Too much or too little of either and you get what you ended up with.
Happily, all of our snow melted last week so I didn't need to see that picture.
You look very handsome in the prettied up picture. Mind you, this is coming from someone who NEVER compliments/kisses ass online so consider yourself extra special today!
nice pictures!
Get thee to mah blorg satan! The newest post up is especially for you.
You always have such fun 12 of 12s. What a great day...what perk, this month, getting to see you half naked!
Can't believe how clean your underground tunnels are...and NO people! In Seattle, we have no tunnels, no subways...but at least they are clean.
As for your orchid, do you have the pot on a bed of moist gravel? If not, it might to help raise the humidity. Are you fertilizing? (not you personally, but the orchid). Try one where the first # is really high e.g., 15-3-3.
Half Nekkid?
I think you need some help of your fractions. I'm thinking it's like 1/8th nekkid. MAYBE.
Re: your right foot on the scale. Honey, lose all that extra weight on your right foot and you'll be back on track!! No, seriously, it's just the lighting. The left foot in the shadow makes it look smaller. It's an illusion. Don't sweat it.
Is the orchid in the bathroom? It would probably love to join you for a shower and soak in the steam. Try bringing it in with you when you shower - for steam, not in the shower itself, and then a sunny window during the day.
I've never eaten artichoke like that, I've always had it from a jar of oil.
A day in the life....
That cheez whiz looks gross but your dinner looks yummy.
Thanks for the compliment, you look pretty hot yourself
Thanks for posting the 12 of 12 photographs. I need to get off my butt and do this in March as well. Hope things are warm and cozy up there in Canada. Have a great week Sticky!!
