Mocking season open
Seriously, I can't even watch this. And please don't feel obliged to either. It's just to prove that I do know all the words to at least one song. Now go ahead and mock.
I remember that song... I don't know its title but my guess it was during the time i was born... give or take... you look cute doing the lip synch... God I love your blog... and Coopers too :)
You've given me an early morning laugh. I assume your parents lived in a single family dwelling, not some place with a shared wall. For the sake of the neighbors' ears and sanity, I hope so.
I am sitting here with a grin so big my cheeks hurt. I think my favorite part is the bridge, when you lipsynched to the guitar (after relaxing with a puff). I applaud your courage, creativity, and cutiepieness. This ranks right up there with "I Dance For You," another Torn classic.
I so remember this song. It is "Urgent". You did a great job and I love Foreigner. Next time I want to hear "Double Vision" or "Hot Blooded". I loved the smoke break in the middle. Thanks for cheering me up so I can get through this hump day. Ed
You really committed to this. Lotta heart. Nice use of the camera, too. Just about the time I was thinking "this needs some choreography" you brought in the hand gestures. Well done, sir.
Don't know why this makes me ask, but were you a single child?
I LOVE IT!!!!! This song reminds me of Devo, as we used to listen to Urgent endlessly. I loved the chair dancing, the facial expressions and the Peter Gabriel-esque-ness of it all! The smoke only added to the 80s-ness of it!
Thanks for brightening up my day with this. A part of me is convinced you did it to cheer me up and I love you for that! -rox
That was gorgeous on so many levels, you are geeky and brave and cool all at the same time, how fun is that??? You made me laugh and want to make one back, seems like a fun trend to start, watching everyone lipsync to corny 80's tunes....
I'm not mocking ... I'm in awe! You're a brave man, Mr Sticky Crows. Also, you looked way HOT doing it.
(I just played it again for Dario ... He danced along with your words, and then made his Webkinz cat, Max, kiss your face on the screen.) See how loved you are!
Oh, that was great...nothing to mock here. All the lyrics, and some easy-going head-choreography (you know what I mean). Nice to see someone comfortable in their own skin...and so nice to see a live version of our host!!
I have to say, tho, I half-expected to see Serge and Sara pop in as back-up singers for some of those "urgent" echoes toward the end of the song. I'm betting you were in a locked, sound-proofed room, though, eh?
Thanks for the show! (Also, nice to see someone smoking unashamedly on-camera...so retro...)
The sign of a great work of art is if it stays with you after the initial experience. Later today I noticed the sly dramatic irony inherent in the ultimate casual act -a drag on a cigarette- coming in the bridge of this song, thus contradicting the 'urgency' of the lyrics. There are so many layers to this. Again, well done.
No mocking here, dude, i was singing it right along with you!
Course, I was actually singing it, not lip syncing....although your facial expressions were much better than mine!
I think this should be a regular feature on your blog. If you don't know all the lyrics to a song, look them up online...or improvise. That would be great too! :)
I think this was the first time I could see what the living and breathing Tornwordo actually looks like. So I'll be on the lookout. But - all things considered - you'll understand if I'm sorta wary of shaking your hand...

This was GREAT. You are such a wonderful dweeb.

LOL!
Also, yo got your hair cut since we last saw you at the Sugar Shack. Looks good.
I will not mock him who brings a broad smile to my morning.
Besides, I can only imagine what the video would look like if someone had a cam in my cubicle at work filming me while I boogie in my chair.
You did a great job of singing along. I salute you! and the smoke break rocked.
C'mon there's gotta be other songs that you know the words to. And if not, I have one word for you: GOOGLE.
I especially liked the improv during the sax solo. You rock!
Still trapped inside eh?

Adorable!
1980s and parents out of town? Aren't you supposed to be doing this in your underwear?

Okay, so I totally knew what song this was going to be when you said you played it LOUD every day.
Good times.
You funny.

Wow, I'm impressed, not just by your amazing lip synching ability, but also by your facial expressions and 'choreography'. Excellent!
I thought you were quitting smoking?
Mark :-)
Bravo!
My sister and I used to do the Archies in the Basement when the folks left. Godsm how old that makes me sound!

Loved it! Nice job. Lou Gramm is from my hometown.

HUGS....
That was great.
It would have been better without clothes, of course.
Bravo!! You do lip-synching proud!
( you've got good rhythm as well. )
That was F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.
I laughed. I cried. I vomited in my mouth a bit.
YaY! Aren't you cute! I'll have that song in my head all day now. Brilliant.
Twenty hours later, I thank you for putting the Foreignor earworm in my head. : )
I think this was the first time I could see what the living and breathing Tornwordo actually looks like. So I'll be on the lookout.

I have so added this to my blog!!!
Loved it...

It's not fair that you're so adorable and I'm such a shlub.
