This n that

It's spider season now. It really helps cut down on the flies. Though every time you go to a place that you haven't touched for a few days, you find webs. This guy was big as my thumb and had set up shop between my potted plant and the deck railing. If spouse had seen it, he'd have destroyed the web and attempted to do away with the spider. So of course I didn't tell him about it.

I heard back from the government job. It took two months to inform me that they have received my application and forwarded it to the pertinent department. I asked my government employee students and they both said it took about a year to get hired. A year! Efficiency in action wouldn't you say? I should probably be happy that immigration to Canada only took me 11 months.

I had a white beer saved in the fridge, but the beerliminator got to it. I swear, I can keep just about any other booze in the house without worry. Heck, there's a bottle of rum that's been sitting there a year. But beer? Never seems to be enough. Anyway, beer's not really my thing, though I do love a good "white" beer. He knows this but he still swilled the one I was saving. So now he's become the beerliminator, the little bastard. (I love you honey, honest I do.)

I'm guessing that he would prefer beerliminator over pet-sauce perpetrator any day.

What is white beer?

I just about had a heart attack. I don't mind little spiders on the ceiling, but seeing that beast - EEEEEE.

I hate spiders! I love white beer!

Just in case you were wondering.

I've never heard of White Beer. Spiders are everywhere this time of the year because they have only a short time catch as many bugs as possible. I hate walking into a web and wondering where the spider went. ed

I love the term "beerliminator"! I'll chuckle about that all day.

I've had a monster spider outside my bedroom window for well-nigh two months now. Although I like to watch it, I am phobic and keep my bedroom window shut.

Instead of asking you what white beer is, I'll Google it. My answer to everything in life.

I don't mind spiders as long as they're smaller than my thumbnail and I'm wearing my doc martens.
That fat hairy thing had me crawling into my chair!

It's also moth season. I noticed yesterday that there were many big moths attached to the garage by the lights that come on at dusk. Time to dig out the pressure washer, I think.

I'd take a spider over a moth any day.

Beerliminator! Haha! I'm the Chocoliminator.

Bastard? To the man you sleep with every night? Oh, you're daring. As for WHITE beer, do tell!

I'll take flies over spiders. I hate the little bastards!

I actually like beer a lot. The crisper stuff, not the dark stuff you can cut with a knife. I'm going to enjoy some this weekend, in hopes that I'm off the stuff for a while. (Or at least that's my excuse to imbibe.)

Spiders I can appreciate, even if the larger ones do give me the willies now and then.

White beer I'm clueless about. I'll google it too, but I'm only using that as a verb, since I usually go to Ask.com these days.

The "Beerliminator"!?! Heh heh...

That's an ugly spider! What is white beer?

I tried White Beer finally last June; because you had explained it to me. It's not bad...the cans were 11 ounces instead of 12 though.

Talk about bastards!

Never heard of white beer. I'll have to go do some research. Does the Beerliminator even drink beers labeled with a threatening message?

Spiders are usually our friends, but they can be scary looking.

Ale? I like my beer very very light
with some "health benefit"......:)

Web masterpieces that spiders have spun outside are abundant. I'll come across one or two where the spider is waiting in the center of the web. I'll try to find something light (in weight) to throw at the web. Then see the spider scramble to see what creature it has caught only to be fooled by a blade of grass. ;-)

I DO NOT LIKE SPIDERS. EEEK. THAT IS A FUGLY ONE!

Spiders are beneficial critters. I tend not to squash the ones that I find in various places.

And as far as the government job, I've had two of them and I can say without reservation that I'll never work under an elected official ever again.

I hate spiders more than beer. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose to drink beer over seeing a spider.

I love orb weavers and generally subscribe to the "spiders are our friends" school of thought. I'm finding that the numbers of arachnids inside the house is increasing again, though, which means I need to go spraying noxious chemicals in the cellar again to keep it from looking like the crypt in a horror flick.

I don't think I've had white beer before. My favorite summer brew is Hefeweizen - so fruity and delicious.
