Snow cues heavy sigh

Here we go again. Another snowstorm is predicted. Actually it's already snowing but the real accumulation is supposed to come tonight and tomorrow. Oh goody gumdrops, now with sarcastic center. You know how people said that "God" was involved in the New Orleans disaster (to punish the depravity there) or the big tsunami in Asia (to cull the non-christians)? Now I'm wondering what we did up here in Montreal to deserve this. Another week of parking insanity and traffic nightmares coming up. I'll be a good boy I promise, just please no more snow. Unfortunately, the long range forecast shows snow 12 of the next 14 days.

Serge painted half the bedroom. It's half brown now. Serge did something with photoshop and put sara on the wall but in real life it's just brown. Also at home depot, I was lured into the clearance section because if there's one word that acts as a tractor beam on me it's "clearance". That's where we saw the bedside lamps. Less than half price. I didn't want to get them though because they didn't fall into the "need" category. Overruling me was Serge who said the magic words, "I'll buy them." I'm being especially cheap these days because as I reminded spouse, there's only three months until the fabulous vacation of life. Three months to save up so we can splurge. "It's the last thing," he assured me. It never is though, sigh.

I like the sara wall. I am Serge and Mrs Coffeedog is you. I like to spend spend spend, she likes to save.

Please, why am I getting snow now? What did I do to deserve this? How can I appease the Gods? Please give me Spring weather and I'll never curse again damn it!
Bedroom looks so nice now, the lamps were necessary. Now it looks like a bedroom and not a prison cell. Ed

I like the dark wall. Very soothing.

I was going to say "I know she's a great dog, but get a grip!" but it's a clever photoshop effect.

I think if God really meant business he (she) wouldn't just settle for parking and traffic inconveniences.

I DO like the lamps and the Sara wall. I think you can send photos to a place and they make a wallpaper "mural" from the photo.

I've always enjoyed shots of your apartment. I appreciate your style that tends toward the clean and minimalistic - so foreign to the world of "stuff" and clutter that I live in.

Cool lamps, and the room looks very handsome.

Some would say that God is rewarding Quebec with beautiful snowflakes. hmmm

That is too fucking cool.

Okay, so when the BF gets done with the art project (he's doing something with photos of my dogs, including Sparky), I'll post those. So far, my favorite has been the Warhol one of Buzzy's head. Heh.

Snow is no curse, it is the reaction of people to the event that yields a curse against nature.

Love the room and the only thing missing from the photo and lamps are Serfe and Torn entangled in a loving embrace upon the bed!

That is a cool effect on the wall. Photoshop escapes me. It might be nice to have something like that on the wall for real. It might also be distracting.

I love Serge saying "It's the last thing!" I'm sure he believes it. It will be, too, until something else comes up that is such a great buy and so very needed. I know because I do the same thing.

Very cool, I would love to know how to do that. I have never really played with photoshop so I would have no clue as to where to begin. PookieBear would love the space, so clean and minimalistic (sp?)

I'm not sure if I'd like to look up and see my dog during an intimate moment in the bedroom. :)

Even with the lamps, that's a pretty austere looking bedroom. You guys must have sex in the kitchen.

More snow expected here, too. I've decided not to write about it any more. If I don't think about it, maybe it will stop, right? Are you listening, goddess ... anyone, anyone?

I rarely buy anything unless it's on clearance, Bargain is my middle name. Almost all my kids' clothing comes from Value Village. Why buy them new stuff when they'll outgrow it in a few months, right? (Underwear, socks and shoes excepted).

Before I realised it was a photo-shop affect, I was thinking, "Ummm, those guys LOOOOOOVE that dog!" lol

I like the lamps a great deal. But then I am so financially irresponsible it makes the Bush budget seem rational.

More snow here. I had just started to be able to see my lawn, now its back to the usual blanket of white again.

I love the Sara wall! I think it would look great painted up there!

I'm Serge and Derwood is Serge too. We will end up homeless someday because of our terrible spending habits. :)

I would get tired of SO so much snow, too. Then again I wouldn't live that far north. ;) Guess you just have to make the best of it.

Love the Sara wall...hope you can do it for real.

Frank, if you have dogs, you can often look up at intimate moments and find them watching.

Love the room, congrats to Serge on his eye. The brown works.

Love you boys and your choice of colors. And dig the new toilet too. Maybe Nancy Reagan can come and piss in it while she fixes breakfast for us.

I wonder what Serge will buy for me, cause it seems he loves to keep the economy going.

Unlike pretty old me.

The Sara mural is nice. I knew exactly who/what it was as soon as I saw it.

Your bedroom is so tidy! But no rug on the cold wood floor?

Mark :-)

Oh yeah...I am ALL about the Sara wall. Love the brown. Love the headboard. The lamps...not so much. Oh, and when it comes to "bargains", I am Serge, and I'm also married to Serge. Yeah, we're often out of control.

is that real? and is that strange? and should I have read all of the comments-- please say no. love you anyway.

Oh, I love the Sara Wall effect...

...of course, at our house, we are already accustomed to disapproving stares from our Em during intimate moments.

She's so conservative--if it doesn't involve feeding her, she's against it.
