12 of 12

As usual, I was up before the sun was. This time of year it rises directly out back.

Here I am just woke up, time to check some bloggies.

My first class is near Chinatown. Anybody know what is written there?

After that, I walked over to square victoria for my next class. The way the light was reflecting spotlighted that tree.

My lunch. I know it's full of packaging and I'm not proud of that. It was about $3.50 for the tuna salad kit, cheese curds, blueberry apple sauce and coke zero.

Came home at the afternoon break and had two postcards from Johnny who's traveling in New Mexico.

Apparently our apparatus is leaking a bit into the apartment below. It is infuriating because the last people who remodeled the bathroom did not make a trap door so you can access the plumbing. No, we're going to have to break the dad gum tile. (I'm still hoping to access from the downstairs ceiling though.)

Now I know why that candle was on sale.

Brad came over so we could drive out to the sticks together and give our afternoon classes. I think my neck ate my chin here.

Passing the park on the way to the sticks, the leaves have nearly all fallen.

After class, I came home and since serge was out with his work buds for happy hour, I made myself a ham sammywich with onions, olives and a dill pickle.

Then serge came home and whipped up some onion soup. I had already eaten, so I'll consume my share today.

You had a relatively healthy lunch for such a good price. Love the pics.

The sign says "Welcome to Chinatown" or Macy's, I'm not quite sure. That soup looks dee-lish!

Save me a bowl/crock of that soup, please!!! Yum!

As for the plumbing, I am convinced that all plumbing is the devil's handiwork!! Good luck, I hope you find and alternative access to the problem and a good fix.

It sounds as though the day was both busy and delightful...Would love to try that soup, it looks divine!

I'd need a comma in the figure it would take to allow a pic of myself moments after awakening.

Lunch looks fantastic. The Coke Zero makes me drool. Almost 11 months and counting. Do they make a patch for Diet Coke???

I love that you named the bathroom pic retarded plumbing.

It makes me twitch to see that you have the slices of bread backwards. I couldn't eat it that way in a million years. Ah, neuroses are fun.

The soup looks yummy, and the bowls are wonderful!

That Brad is CUTE! Soup looks good, too.

Oh, yay--we haven't had a Twelve in some time! Sorry to hear about the plumbing issues.

I do like those tuna salad kits, though you're right about the packaging. Looks like Serge had fun with his workmates.

: )

I like the color of your bathrobe, it suits you. And I always pictured your monitor to be much bigger. (Going back now to check out the sandwich Patricia mentioned)

I'm with Patricia: straighten out that sandwich. That awkward shot with Brad is payback for looking so good when you get up. Serge is looking far too peppy. Just what did he have at happy hour?

Word verification: caleb. Your new middle name.

I forgot 12 of 12 for the first time EVER. wah. Oh, well. My day was pretty boring.

The soup does look delicious. And I *heart* those bowls!!! I might try to make some some day :-)

*smooches*

Huh -- I would have expected that local laws would have required a means of access to the plumbing when it was remodeled.

The soup looks yummy.

And I thought I looked bad first thing in the morning.

The plumbing thing...that would make me soooo angry!
As for the Chinese arch...it says,
"Welcome Stupid Americans. Give us your money" which makes it very rare because it's in Canadia.

The Sunrise is beautiful. It makes me think of why we still say Sunrise and Sunset even though we all agree it is the Earth that moves around the Sun. Even at 65 thousand miles per hour it still takes over 365 days for Earth to circle the Sun once. I find it mindboggling. ed

You're cute when you 1st wake up!

Your bath looks quite luxurious. Too bad it doesn't have a trap.

We have the exact same computer.

Mark :-)

Sounds like a decent day, well, except for the plumbing issue.

Nice segue off politics and into some really cool pictures. 21 comments (now 22) in 12 hours! You must be doing something right. Maybe I should drink some of that liberal kool aid. : )

You're so cute looking first thing in the morning. And I don't see any evidence of the "outbreak" you spoke of earlier this week. Yeah!

I THINK the Chinese arch says "Welcome" on the top and "Peace on whole earth" below it.

Onion soup looks good to me...hehe

"whipped up some onion soup"? one can whip that stuff up without a zillion hours of prep time to brown the onions just so, have a broth that's clear and just so with seasoning?

i've never heard of a "whipped up onion soup" unless he used canned ingredients...but no, that would be cheating.

I really like this 12 thing - I think I'm going to have to steal your idea.

And some of Serge's onion soup. YUM!

At first I thought Serge had a blue bow tie on, and I thought it was cute and fitting for some strange reason. haha. He is, as usual, friggin adorable. You know, I thought the sandwich looked funny but didn't realize the bread was opposite until I went back to look. Yeah, couldn't do it either. funny that. Happy weekend to you!
