Weekend update

I have a feeling this wallpaper for the computer will be longstanding. Serge is getting a bit impatient with me and my crying. Only 10 times yesterday (I counted) of which he caught me twice. He's just moving on faster than I am. Oh and the drinky bird in the picture is something I got last weekend at the science museum gift shop. I finally got it going Wednesday and it hasn't stopped since.

Last night at MIL's house I got to bond with Tigars. It was like therapy. I haven't cried since then.

Us three. MIL's boyfriend was outside barbequeing the sausage skewers.

Nobody noticed it at the time, but that presentation is awfully phallic don't you think?

I suppose phallic is better than resembling poo.

Tigars is a cute doggie. Remember you are what you eat. ;) The skewered meat looks very delicious. Are the white balls potatoes? ed

Seriously no one noticed? That's too funny. As soon as I saw it, I thought you guys had been playing a joke on the MIL.

You just can't beat a good sausage.

Heh, oh yes I did.

Crying is healthy. It really is. And puppy therapy is pretty good therapy!

My kids made a similar presentation once in the fruit bowl. And they took pictures.

I love the drinky bird!I Used to have the same martini glasses!
You heal at your own pace. You can't force it. Take daily puppy therapy. It's great.

that's fun to say

I like the wall paper. Keep it. It might bring tears now but it will make you smile down the road.

I know exactly how you feel. A dog loves you unconditionally, so when he or she is gone, you will feel the pain for quite some time. It's different than losing a human. There is no reason to apologize for how you feel. Just reading your posts and looking at your dog made me tear up, and I've never even met you!

I'm not sure why, but that meal looks really appealing to me.

Yes, grieve the way you need to, keep the wallpaper as long as you want and don't be embarrassed if tears are still a regular occurrence. Those moments where her absence hits you anew are hard, especially since they're so rarely things one can anticipate. Checking for her before pushing back your chair was especially resonant for me.

Glad that Tigars was able to comfort you. There's a lot to be said for fuzz therapy.

I'm not saying anything, but of course it felt good to have another puppy in your arms. I had a sense that you would be grieving longer than Serge over Sara. No judgment, just the sense I got from all the posts.

So, does the coleslaw represent the orgasm?

Doug said...

It's perfectly acceptable to grieve for Sara. Don't feel if you stop grieving for her, though, that it means you've forgotten her. She will be in your heart forever.

And yes, that skewer looks more like something you'd display rather than a str8 guy. Just sayin'.

Hey handsome, there is no schedule for grieving. None, whatsoever. Your time, in your way, no pressure. And Ilove the wallpaper.

more radical feminist to me...what with the cut-up sausage rather than whole...

heh

I think if the sausage was not cut-up, someone would've noticed.

Maybe the dog?

The wallpaper had me tearing up and then the presentation had me howling with laughter. I wouldn't have been able to eat it without giggling.

Cry if you need to. It's not good to keep it inside. I hope Serge can understand that people deal differently with grief and to let you do what you need. I love the food presentation. Someone has a good sense of humor. :)

Hope you feel better soon! By the way I want one of those drinky bird things - very jealous :-)

My Dad always wanted a drinking bird, and I didn't know where to get one for him.

Phallic food tastes the best.

Your posts about Sara remind me to hug my pups. They are our families...and it's good to remember.

Great photo of the three of you. I am happy to see that the time spent with Tigars was therapeutic for you. (((((Torn)))))
