My pie looks like a rumphole

Progress is being made. I have to admit that. Is it just a given that whatever estimate you make of the time required to complete a project must be doubled? What is that like Time multiplied by two equals reality? 2T=R . There's the stripping, priming, sanding, repriming, masking (very long, this!) painting, and second coat to do. The store ran out of green paint and ordered it for us, they said it'll take 1 to 2 weeks. (Remembering our formula, that means 2-4 weeks.) You can see in the photo above the striking color combo Serge has chosen. There will be white stenciled lettering on the poles. The goal is to have at least one prototype ready to go for tomorrow morning.

Here is my peanut butter pie from Patricia's recipe. (Full of protein by the way.) Serge proclaimed, "It's like Reese's!" Do you see my design in chocolate? Yeah, that's why I'm not allowed to paint. Thank god looks have little to do with taste though. Yum.

Although I know the work is slow going to say the least, you have to hand it Serge for coming up with a way to help offset the cost of your trip! And I love the colors!!!

Actually the design on the pie isn't that bad IMHO. Think I might try the recipe.

That pie looks yummy!

The meters look cool, though not yummy. I think your equation is one of those laws of nature, though with managers, they usually want the time to be half of what you estimate, which means their expectation is off by a factor of 4.

Rumphole? How polite! LOL And here I thought I heard you say you weren't into anal!

I'm sure the pie must taste great, yeah, like a Reeses cup.

I like the color of the meters. The paint almost makes them look like plastic toys.

The Meters look great! The new paint ordered will be a different shade but nobody will notice.
That pie looks good enough to eat even though I am allergic to Chocolate and Peanuts. It is literally to die for. LOL.

I about fell out of my chair giggling at the post title and pie picture...

The parking meters are just too awesome :D
I kind of think *all* parking meters should look fun like that... there should be something fun about them!

Go to Rosie O's blog. Your pie reminds me of some of her art and it looks YUM-MY!

The meters look great. How can the paint store be out of paint? Can't they just mix you up some? You only have one paint store in Quebec? =)

I love your mathematical equation. it will have me giggling all day.

I don't mind painting; I hate the prep. It sounds like you two are doing a lot of prep.

I just show up to supervise and help eat the pie. My stomach doesn't care about your artistic abilities. :)

The meters are very eye catching and that pie looks damn good. I may have to try that recipe even though I don't need any more calories...

Great colour. You rarely see vibrant colours being used anymore.

i love the meters! i'd contribute money if i saw those around my city. it's a great idea.

and the pie... hehe, i'd say it looks a little more like a bullseye! i should've posted the fact that i put the hot fudge into a ziploc bag and then snip off a tiny corner, using it as a piping bag. but yours looks fudgier anyway!

thats an interesting rumphole.

my aunt ruth gave me a recipe for a peanut butter ice cream cake.

1 cup of peanut butter.
1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream.

mix well and pour into a graham cracker crust. freeze. and garnish with chocolate syrup.

yours reminds me so much of it! yummy!

It reminds me of a manhole.

You know, the one on the street, not the other one.

Um... is 'pie' slang for 'vagina' in Canada the way it is here in the Big Woods?
If so, then how funny!
If not... well then, nevermind.
