Bikeride - Pics and Video

Click for larger version:

So many churches here, it's easy to get blasé about them.

Montreal color.

Just like the postcard, the Marché Bonsecours.

Red doors catch my eye now.

In bloom down at the Old Port.

Container limbo.

See the birdie?

Tim Burton was here.

Where am I again?

Color in the suburbs.

And now, a little video from the 35 kilometer ride. (I'm having trouble walking this morning.)

God I miss Montreal. Love wanderering thru the old churches and cathedrals, fries and gravy, fried cheese and good beer.

Great pics!

Great photos and good on you for doing such a long bike ride. I would be dead after 25 blocks.

I don't know how far 20 kilometers is. It could be 100 feet or 100 miles. I don't think that is Poison Sumac. It was probably planted there because of its fall color. It looks like Staghorn Sumac to me. Poison Sumac grows in swampy areas and has white berries. The harmless Sumacs have red berries. It will look beautiful this fall.

Thanks.

I second the Lone Ranger's sentiments. Although I did get into a bit of a snit with a nun trying to hustle $5 out of me to take a tour of Notre Dame. She didn't appreciate my pointing out that the Vatican's coffers weren't hurting that much. Lesson learned: never cross a Grey Nun.

Get yourself a gel seat for your bike. Your ass will thank you.

Beautiful pictures!

Read recently that homes with red doors sell quicker than any others.

Man, I was wondering where I left my giant leg filled with rocks.

Thanks for the pics!

That's a gorgeous church. I love churches. Don't ask why, I just do.

I know, have Serge to visit the Sumac Trees and rub himself on the leaves. If he doesn't break out in hives and severe itching then you'll know it's not poison. If he does you will need a giant bottle of Calamine lotion.

Another episode of the shortest nature show in the history of entertainment.

I wish the secession vote had passed. Montreal and Quebec deserve so much more than to be the "second" Canada.

blogger hasn't allowed me comment in days but i wanted to go back and tell you how beautiful your photos are. you should be on salary for montreal's version of the visitor's bureau. your photos make me want to visit and see the "realness" of the city.
