Back to reality

Well I survived. I wish I had the stamina of my youth when my body seemed invincible and my liver impermeable. I think I'll be tired the rest of the month after Bob's visit and all the craziness of gay pride week in Montreal. (Is it possible for me to write a sentence without 'I' in it?) Yesterday was the last day of it and I put Bob on a plane this morning. I hurt all over but especially around my mouth from all the grinning. (grin)

Outside a huge thunderstorm is raging. Lightning and thunder are shattering the air. Sara is at my feet quivering. (Look! Three sentences sans 'I') Serge just toddled off to work in the rain, poor guy.

Here's my annual collage of the gay days nonsense. The song is Boy from Ipanema, by whom I've no idea. Enjoy! (You can full screen the video if you double click and go to youtube.)

I love that the guys are all hot yet not like the Sobe crowed that try to outdo each other with the roids.

These hotties actually have bellies. I like that. :)

So you'll be tired. You'll have a lot of great memories to recall as you recoup! :)

Bellies?! I only saw ONE belly. Why are all the HOT guys gay?! I mean, not that I need another man in my life or anything but the Hot/Not Ratio for gay men is waaaaaaay different than the Hot/Not Ratio for straight men.

Why is that? Do gay men just care more? It's beautiful no matter what it is is! :)

Crystal Waters... that's the singer on the song :)

It looks like you had a pretty damn good time. Love the guys in the green shorts.

(and of course the quick shot of Serge jiving to the music).

i went to the gay pride festival in philly with my girlfriend and some of our gay friends, and i thought it was funny how i was probably noticably a hetero male from my little beer belly compared to all the buff guys there, lol. that is, until the gay biker float came by and i felt metrosexual for once. :) i went to my first gay bar and first lesbian bar that day as well and i was amazed by how happy these guys were in their own environment. they were beaming with happiness as they danced on the dance floor. it was a beautiful thing. it is a shame we are not evolved enough yet where gays and lesbians can feel as comfortable as heteros no matter where they go. in time perhaps.

Damn, Rebekah got the answer out before me: It's Crystal Waters from the Red Hot and Bossa Nova Charity cd from a few years ago. great summery version of the track for a great summery montage of the gay days. Looks like it was a lot of fun. One question: What software do you use to produce the montage/slide show? Especially the zooms in, and tracking shots of the still photos?
Love the blog.

Looks like it was lots of fun.

It's (notice I avoided using "I") good to know that other people have that "I" issue too.
