Day after bliss

Twas a lovely day yesterday. We did all the perfunctory festivities on the 24th, so yesterday we played with our new toys and never left the house. We were supposed to go ice-skating, but it was so cozy and relaxed inside that we stayed home. I spent most of the day setting up and playing with the new Ipod-Touch that spouse got me. It's such a great toy, I can surf the net and watch youtube videos, watch whole movies even with it. Oh yeah and it's a music player too.

Today is boxing day up here. Big sales, crowds etcetera. I think of it more as the taking-down-the-tree day. We're also planning to go ice skating since we skipped it yesterday. Maybe take in a movie too. Or maybe we'll end up holed up inside again, who knows. That's what real vacation is all about, playing it by ear and ditching expectations.

Also sleeping in. Look how late it is. I think this is the latest I've awoken in months. Bliss. Here's hoping everyone had a lovely holiday filled with good cheer and loved ones. Peace.

That's the latest you've woken up in months? That would be the earliest I've woken up in months, but I was still sleeping. Glad you are having a nice holiday.

You don't have to do anything but want to do something. I know the feeling. I've even told myself today I'm staying in bed until noon. It has never happened. The Sun shall not rise as early as I to catch the fair adventures of tomorrow. Eh..I'm going back to bed. Ed

I'd love to go back to bed but alas, I have to go celebrate some more. Just between you and me, the holidays have not been kind to my digestive system and I'm not sure I can eat another bite until I have some RELIEF, if youknowwhatimean!

I made it through yesterday without too much drama;was dog-tired by the end of the day.

Sounds like you had a great couple of days.

Ah, what a wonderful thing to sleep in late next to your spouse.

I've noticed what an early riser you are. Glad you got to sleep in a bit today. I don't have any trouble sleeping late when I don't have to get up early.
Glad you are having a wonderfully relaxing holiday.

Have you tried google yet?! I love the iPhone/iPod Touch version of google so much, and google reader is a must for checking blogs on your iPod Touch.

Had a very nice holiday with my in-laws in Edenton, NC. Now we're trying to get back home. Got switched onto a flight to Boston and now that one is delayed. So I'm sitting here in IAD (Dulles) waiting for that flight to take off. Friend is picking us up.
