What a difference a year makes

One year ago, we moved into our current residence. At that time, we had just bought the place and had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into. For that is when the saga of nude dancer began. All the tenants have since changed and where last year dread and anguish filled my days, today I find living here very relaxing and comfortable. But I don't need to tell you. It's all laid out in the posts from the last year. I'll take a moment to gather those posts. Moment wasn't really the right word. Hour was more the right word. But here the most important ones are. It's funny because reading them, I sound so much more together than I felt at the time. Those months were swirly months, insomnia months, pushing through my boundaries months. I dedicated 17 posts to the topic, and sprinkled other tidbits in others. Here are the dedicated posts:

I'm so glad he and all the others are out of our lives. Yesterday, 5 of our 7 tenants stopped by to pay their rent. This is the way it's supposed to be. The other two tenants always pay on the first. Which is today. I feel pretty good that we've been able to turn this place around, and filled it with respectful, responsible people. I don't think I would appreciate it as much as I do if I hadn't gone through the miserable experience of getting all the deadbeats out. And for that, I'm truly grateful.

7 tenants all paying on time and not keeping you awake. You are very lucky indeed. I have a friend who rents and he was told several years ago rent is due on the first day of the month. Since that time he will cancel plans and arrange his schedule so he can be there to pay his rent on the first day of the month. I've given up talking to him about it. I try to tell him they won't mind it you pay it a couple of days before the first day of the month.

Being exposed to that kind of stress as part of your home life is really bad news. I'm glad you've managed to turn things around, and in such a relatively short period.

You and Spouse sound like decent landlords too. That makes a difference in the type of tenants you attract and retain. When you clear out the deadbeats, it also makes non-deadbeats want to stay.

Time is flying so fast this past year. I am with GayProf in his incredulity that it has been a year since you moved into your new place.

Glad it's all over, as you are, but there's just something about reading that word NUDE. I miss it. Seems to have been replaced by the word SCAT. Oh, and pastry bag too.

Did you bake a cake for the building? It sounds kind of like a real birth, the initial part is quite painful, but once it's all done, you're filled with happiness and the ordeal is a hazy memory.

My Goodness(Hmm, is that an oxymoron, or hyperbole)?
Nude dancer made a powerful impression on me, because it certainly doesn't seem like a yar has gone by since that gripping episode in your lives.
I'm glad that your hard work has paid off, and you're providing an enjoyable living space for yourselves and your tenants.
