HNT and quit day

Ever wonder what your face would look like if it were perfectly symmetrical? They say that the more symmetrical your features, the more attractive you are. But after this little experiment, I think I prefer nature's design. Click here to see more on HNT.

Tomorrow is my quit day. As in quitting cigarettes. It has been a while since I've attempted to stop and I am highly motivated. I've cleared the weekend of duties so I can focus solely on distracting myself - movies, food, walks, more food. I do have to work tomorrow morning so I'm a little worried about that, but I'll be using the patch as a crutch for a few weeks to help me get through.

I don't know if I'll be blogging these first couple days of quitting, you'll just have to wait and see.

Wish me luck!

Very interesting. I've never thought to do that, and now I'm gonna have to. Good luck with your quitting. =)

Nature did a good job with you. I agree, leave well enough alone. Good luck with the quitting.

Wow, that is cool! I prefer my face too, un-symetrical and all.

Happy HNT :)

Nature made you just perfect mate!
Good luck with the quitting! I have been using patches on and off now for the past couple of weeks, Im surprised at how good they really work! All you need is the motivation and encouragement from your mates and you will get through it.. and feel so much better afterwards! Happy HNT!!

Ah, I see. cigs. Well, good for you!
I gave up alcohol 3 years ago and the first few months were literally day to day. It got easier once the mental craving ended. One day at a time, baby!
One of my friends quit smoking by keeping one cigarette on him. He always knew he could smopke that one ... he just never did.
Best of everything to you!!!

Interesting picture, look weird but then maybe it's because of the light.

So no more smoking ? Good decision there. Hopefully you won't have to do much effort ! Oh, that's nothing to do with luck.

Oh Tornwordo, I know you can do it! I also used the patch, it works, you just have to make up your mind. You are supposed to use it for twelve weeks, I used it in six, two weeks strong, two weeks mild, two weeks light (the doses of nicotine) This is the best gift you can give yourself! I'm rooting for you!!

Blog about it. You will be surprised the feelings you will go through.

Your "right" face looks frigging bizarre! Very "Stepford Wife-ish"

You will soon regard a smoldering butt left on the ground or in an ashtray as a Godsend. Will you leave it where it lies and walk away? Good Luck again and again and again.

K.
From the Left, you look black or south asian. From the Right, you look white but about 10 years younger.
Interesting.

And good luck with the smoking - it's tough, but I've heard it's worth it.

Of course you'll continue to blog.

But, your postings will probably sound a tad cranky (no one has ever sounded happier after quitting something).

Good luck! Nobody like a quitter, but everybody dislikes a smoker. Just be aware of what your "triggers" are and have someone around to remind you how gross/expesive/unhealthy smoking is.

Nature made you pretty darn pretty -- Why mess with that?

Good Luck with quitting cigarettes. Be prepared to be a bit flaky for a few days.

Yeah, I think we'll keep you "as is" instead of trading you in for one of the new-fangled, updated model.

TOTALLY NOT TRUE. My face is almost perfectly symmetrical, and it's not all that, trust me. Quitting the cigs was easy for me. I had a concussion and spent six weeks in bed. When I woke up, the nicotine withdrawal had run its course (but I don't reccomend the method) =D

Mother Nature did a good job on you. Funny how in the symmetrical versions you look a little Tom Cruise-ish. Explains a lot, I suppose.

Good luck with quitting. Drink a ton of water.

I think nature got it right. Good luck on the quitting...I tried and wasn't successful (yet!)...I will try again when I'm in a better place.

HappY HNT! :)

Good luck and I mean that, I quit about a year ago and it feels gooood. Try reading Alan Carr's The EasyWay To Stop Smoking.

Also, I think your left half is sinister. Keep an eye on him.

You can do it!

do it again with the light source directly in front of your face (i.e. no shadows)

i, for one, encourage grouchy blogging, if you're up to it. it's real and what's going on for you. you're wise to clear the weekend. it should be all about you. gosh. suddenly it doesn't sound so bad.

i'll be sending you good, strong vibes.

I read your comment on Chunk's blog that you were quitting and came right over to offer encouragement. Good for you!

I am smoke-free for some 12 years now...I think. That's encouraging - I don't even hold that date in my memory anymore.

One of the most exciting things that happened while I was quitting was really a non-event. It would occur to me that smoking HADN'T occurred to me in days! And even that thought would be fleeting. There will come a day that it will never occur to you. Reach for that. Good luck.

Well, you're just flat-out handsome, any way you slice 'n dice your sides together. ;)

Happy Belated HNT & SPD! =)
