Snippets

* Been a while since I did one of these. Feels all retro and stuff.

* I have a lot of free time this session. The contracts didn't line up like they normally do. I've got 2-3 days of work per week. I'm not gonna stress about it, just enjoy it.

* Seeing movies is one way to enjoy it. Yesterday, Serge and I took in Looper, an interesting tale involving time travel and telekenesis. We are still confused about one scene, but it kept us blabbing about it well after it was finished.

* Today I took myself to see Step Up Revolution. I was the only person in the theater. Weird. I have a major new crush though now. OMG every time he was on the screen, I melted.

* Not going to post his name since I'm probably not allowed to post the pic. Even though it's already on the internet. He is the male lead in the movie. It was really difficult to focus on the plot when he was on screen. Woof.

* Got the holiday weekend off too (Canadian Thanksgiving). We are going on a little road trip off the grid. Should be some really nice fall foliage scenes. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. We are taking Georgie with us. Speaking of the little monster, here's a little Georgie porn.

* He's been especially needy this weekend. I worked three intense English immersion weeks back to back so he must have been missing me.

* I have been smoke free for 51 months today. According to my stats, I have NOT smoked 46599 cigarettes since I quit.

* Serge on the other hand, has picked the habit back up. He decided to smoke while we were in Cape Cod since there were other smokers among us. Then when we got back he requit. But that only lasted a week. Now he's back to a pack a day, sigh.

* The diet is going awesome. I look good naked again. Yay! Still two pounds to reach my goal though. Should be done with that this week or next.

*  Oh yeah, and on Saturday we went to POUTINEVILLE, a fancy poutine restaurant and yours truly ordered a salad! Admire, wont you, my phenomenal restraint. Meanwhile my dining partners ordered poutines with chopped up corn dogs in them! Okay, I got a bite, but that was it.

* My current English shows are Glee, Parenthood, 30 Rock, Big Bang Theory, Amazing Race and waiting for Smash to come back. Are there any I need to be watching that I'm not?

* This was fun. Maybe I'll write more with my light schedule. In the meantime Mwah, and thanks for stopping by.

Mwah right back at you! LOVE it when you post. (I should talk. I owe everyone a post or ten.)

Is it bad that I have no idea who your new heartthrob is? I do recognize MY sweetie, Georgie, who for some reason reminds me of Queen Elizabeth in this photo.

Take pictures on your road trip—we'd love to see them too!

Congrats on being smoke free for 51 months and the weight loss. That's awesome. Just the thought of smoking 46599 cigarettes is enough to make anyone sick. I commend and share your phenomenal restraint. Steve and I took one look at a photo that was taken last Christmas and couldn't believe what we were seeing. We have cracked the whip on our eating habits and he has lost 50 lbs and I have lost 28. We feel so much better! As for tv, we watch the same shows with the exception of Glee and Amazing Race. We watched the premiere of 666 Park Avenue last night and really enjoyed it. Also love Revenge. Enjoy your road trip!

Oops..meant to say with the exception of 30 Rock and Amazing Race. Interesting that I initially wrote Glee. Although, after last week's episode, maybe I am ready to give it up.

Survivor! Wednesday nights!

Nice to see you post. Tell Serge to keep on trying to quit and maybe it will stick eventually. I remember when you quit...got has it really been 51 months?! Crazy!

Enjoy your newfound free time! And happy thanksgiving!

Nice to see your post. Since you look good naked again you could post a picture of that...just kidding. I am so sorry to hear that Serge went back to smoking. I know how hard it is to quit. When I went back it was no time at all until I was back up to 3 packs a day. but I quit again and I figure it has been about 15 years. When he gets tired of coughing and hacking and smelling like cigarettes perhaps he will quit again. Hugs to Georgie. (and you guys also.

congrats on the smokes, torn! it seems like you quit just yesterday.

keep encouraging serge. {{{{{hugs}}}}} to him; it is a difficult journey.

WOOF to georgie!

My heart goes out to Serge, smoking again. :-( It's easier to stay away from smokes when you're not around it -- my partner tends to weaken whenever he's around other smokers. Best wishes for Serge to kick the habit...again. He's getting good at quitting! ;-)

Meanwhile, congrats to YOU.

Georgie Porn!

Lots of good things happening for you, it seems. I think it's nice that you have a little more time off. Life is too short to spend most of it working!

thank you for taking Georgie. I was afraid he'd have abandonment issues.

MWAH's back at you and your two favorite guys.

Congrats on staying smoke-free so long. Maybe it will motivate Serge to quit again if you calculate how much all those unsmoked cigarettes would have cost and what you can purchase with that money.

(Serge -- please keep trying. It took 3 or 4 tries before I was finally able to quit for going on 12 years now.)

If you were a fan of Dallas back in the day, I'd recommend checking out the 2012 version airing on TNT stateside (new episodes are supposed to begin in January 2013). J.R., Bobby, and Sue Ellen are all back, as are John Ross and Christopher as 20-something grown men. It's as grand-scale soap opera as ever -- and they're whipping up the suds with a jet engine.

Hope you, Serge, and Georgie all have a relaxing and enjoyable trip. Please post pics of how well the diet is going ;-)!

Isn't it a killer to get distracted by a hunk while trying to watch a movie? ;-p Seriously, it does bug me a bit, especially when I start thinking to myself, "Oh jeez ...I could be his father," and I then I feel creepy.

Looks like, on the smoking front, I *wish* I had more in common with you but in fact I'm more like Serge.

Congrats on the 51 months!

Oh - weight wise. I did a little experiment. I cut our diet back on carbs, and boosted the vegetable intake. Also replace proteins like beef, pork, chicken with fish one or two times a week too.

The first notice of it is the jeans are a lot less tight than they used to be. In fact they're at the point where they fall off if I don't wear a belt.

It's funny - just a small dietary change can net the desired effects.

Ryan Guzman. Yes, he is hot. And, did you know he is going to playing Christian Gray in the movie adaptation of '50 Shades of Gray.'
That will be super hot.

Public domain pics, I am sure you can post them.
