Snippets and I'm outa here

* I went to the dentist this week. I hadn't been for 3 years which is the longest interval I've ever taken. The good news is that there were no cavities or major problems. The bad news is that it's time to redo all the fillings I got in childhood since they are showing signs of wear. Two of them HAVE to be done in porcelain, or so says the dentist. I really don't get why the porcelain one is $800 when I can buy 8 porcelain sinks for that price.

* No, I do not have dental insurance.

* Here's a little video that I wanted to post yesterday. It's about advertising matter that we received. Pay no attention to my puffiness. (It's better today, thanks.)

* One of my favorite words in French is cocotte. Here in Quebec, it is a big casserole baking dish. It also means old whore in France, tee hee.

* Ski season is over and we didn't go AGAIN this year. If I want to fulfill my goals this year, we will have to go in December.

* Tonight, we will finish season one of Six Feet Under. Yes, we are both hooked.

* There is a strange thing happening in the basement. It appears that moisture is coming up from under the house. I don't get it, but I suspect it has a multiple thousand dollar price tag. I'm ignoring it for the moment.

* Serge and I were totally taken in by this April Fool's article. Poor Serge even told everyone at work about it and then had to go back and admit he was a retard. I'm glad I told no one (except Serge, ha)

* Finally a bloggy break. I don't expect to be around until the 20th. I hope everyone enjoys a lovely Easter week.

Enjoy your break. I haven't been to the dentist in a while and I have insurance! My teeth are generally okay, but my husband and son always need work. I had that porcelin (sp) issue last summer with my son--I went with it as I want what the dentist recommends, but even with insurance, I was fleeced for over 700 dollars. My husband may run me into the thousand mark as he has two cracked teeth and I know there are deeper monsters lurking within. I heard that dentists have one of the highest suicide rates in America; do you think it is a lack of consumer love? I honestly have not understood that one, but one dentist that I know told me to NEVER encourage my children to become dentists.

Enjoy your time away and have a happy Easter yourself!

The "silver" amalgam used in childhood contains mercury. When it degrades with age, it leaches mercury into our bodies. Time for a new filling! The porcelain is safer, stronger, and prettier. My family's money pit is teeth; ask me about almost any procedure; someone related to me has had it. (Yes, we have insurance. Even so: $$$)

Have a nice trip, and enjoy the break from blogging. We'll happily wait.

I've always wanted to buy a sofa and a fence to put around it so it will stay clean.
So were are you going? While your gone where will I go and what will I do? Hurry back! Happy Eastertide, ed

If you don't fence in your sofas, how do you possibly expect them to stay put?

You should ski New Mexico.

Enjoy your time away.

I like the name of the casserole dish.

Have a great time. Bring back lots of stories.

The flyer makes sense to me if you have cats. You buy a new sofa and then you have to put a fence around it to protect it from the cats.

Have a good Easter Holiday. Enjoy the warm weather. When you get back it will probably be much warmer here in Montreal. Will miss your blog. Bon repos Serge et Richard.

I can pinpoint the episode of 'Six Ft Under' you'll fall out of love with the show.

I won't even tell you what season - but you'll know it.

Don't listen to Blobby...I loved every season. Glad you're enjoying too.

When I heard about Natasha Richardson the first thing I thought of was "I'm so glad Torn hasn't gone skiing yet!" Take the skiing off your list. Unless you wear a helmet, that is. And if you do, I want pictures! :)

Don't ignore the water. Seriously.

Have a great time on your vacay! Travel safely!

It makes sense to have furniture and fences together, because a lot of people like to sit on the fence. Get it? SIT ON THE FENCE?

It's awesome that you're hooked on Six Feet Under. We all knew you guys would love it. :)

Like you, I find the fence nugget in the furniture ad to be quizzical. Loved the video.

With all the snow you had this winter you didn't go skiing even once???

I don't particularly care for either meaning of the word cocotte.
