My project yesterday was to prepare the picture that we are going to send out in our cards this year for the holidays. I bought some hats and a pointsettia. I dug out the holiday decorations (we haven't decorated for three years because we were so cramped in our last place, there wasn't even room for a tree) and set up the camera. Here is one of the shots that didn't make the cut.
Afterwards, we sat down to dinner in front of 60 minutes. The line that caught me last night was from Andy Rooney: We all have to behave better than what naturally comes to us.
A half an hour later, Homer Simpson whined to Marge about her hostility: Is it because I have enormous flaws that I refuse to work on?
Hmm, two vastly different programs touching on the same theme.

Andy Rooney is a wise man... and I LOVE your coffee table!
You and Sara look cute. Even if it looks like you're punching her. lol
Are we going to see the one that made the cut?
I think you know my views on what A.R. said. Sad that we have to think that way now.
I saw that Simpsons last night and laughed until I thought that yes I too have flaws I refuse to work on...oh well.
One thing that I actually do consistently every year is send out Christmas cards. I can't reveal my design idea here, but I think it will be enjoyed by all. Tomorrow Bailey gets his picture taken with Santa.
Poor Sara looks humiliated. Where's Serge? A Christmas card picture won't be complete without Spouse. Nice hardwood floor. I watched Desperate Housewives last night. Rumours that a neighbor might be a child molestor gave his sister a stroke and ran him out of town. Words are like weapons, they hurt sometimes.
Nice picture, even if it did not make the cut.
I think we all struggle with being what we are vs. being what we could become. I think that life truly begins with accepting the first, but is not fulfilled until we do the latter.
Cute pic!
We can't decorate either, but it's because our 3 cats would ruin the tree.
I already have my picture this year (it was taken last December).
Now, as for decorations? I don't know. Such a big production.
So cute.
Dressing your dog up in reindeer drag? Surely we can put together some kind of show for bloggers with pets...
The dread of having to pack everything up again keeps me from decorating for the holidays.
I have my cards done, but that's it. Even at that, I kept it simple. I always include pictures of the kids for all the aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, grandparents and great-grandmother. By the time I get all that done, everyone else just gets a "To blank" and a "Lots of Love, Us". Every year, I vow to send family pictures with the dog or something cute, but when push comes to shove, I just want it over and out. I am grinchy a little.
Thought bubble over your dog's head...
"It's the same thing every year with those red antlers. Note to self: Must escape."
i see three stockings. does sara have one? i hope so, because then i'll feel less silly about putting one up for indi.

Love the picture and the quotes. I hadn't heard either of them.
Hopefully the picture that made the cut included all three of you.
The dog look absolutely thrilled about the holidays.
Awww...Sara and her daddy. Where's the mistletoe?
You have gotten me in the holiday spirit with that adorable picture! Now, can we see the final photo selection for your cards??
^ I second that.
That is a very cute picture. You are cute as!! :)
Obviously this photo didn't make the cut because Serge is missing from it. :-)
Sorry I've been a little out of touch, but I'm catching up now.

What an adorable picture, love the antlers! (And the hot guy wearing the Santa's hat!!)
Thats so cute - we did the same last week with our dog even with the same reinder ears, but we had white feathered wings on her too - poor thing!
I just love the Yuletide season. Great blog, I'll stop by from now on
