Putzing and knitting

Back to the grind today. I did some intense putzing around yesterday. Tripped over to the library to get some more cd's. They only allow you to check out 3 at a time, so I've been going every day, slowly reacquiring my music library that I got rid of before moving here in 2000. I have very few regrets in life, but selling all my discs for a quarter a piece is one of them. Some of the albums can't even be found anymore unless you want to pay a hundred bucks for a used one off ebay. After that, we had some brunch with Dan and came home to putter some more. I'm almost done with the ribbing section of the socks, so I thought I'd make a video of it. I'll need it in the future when I forget how to do the ribbing. Actually, there is a marvelous site which I use whenever I need help with knitting. It's aptly titled knitting help dot com. Her videos are very close-up and have helped me loads.

Have a swell day everyone!

Even though Sara was bored I found it very interesting. It doesn't look like a sock yet but I'm sure after a few thousand more stitches a sock will appear. Torn, you get more handsome every day. Ed

now i know why i buy my socks in the store. me, i always want something flashy for my crocheting or knitting efforts. like an afghan or something. if i ever knit myself a pair of socks, i'd be sticking my feet in people's face every day, just to show them off.

but i suppose i should learn how to make some booties, huh? :)

Yes, you ARE handsome. And I thought I was the only man who knits. Scarves and afghans, so far. Right now, I'm working on a cotton rug.

I never thought I'd like watching someone knit, but this was so soothing. It doesn't hurt that the knitter is easy on the eyes. Beats Martha hands down.

If I was to make a video of me in action, it would be building the tree house in the back yard or the storage shelving in the garage.

Knit? I don't think so. But carry on: knit one, purl two.

If you had feet the size of mine then you would be repeating that stitch twenty gazillion times. ;p)
You might be finished by Christmas (hint)

"Intense putzing"??? Do you have any pictures?

Hmm -- I would watch a CBC show entitled "Knitting with Torn." Though it would probably getter a wider audience if you took your shirt off.

OK, I don't give one horses who-ha about knitting, but I love the video. Your voice is as sexy as you are! I did see one huge problem with the video and the knitting though... I vote you do a video series on naked knitting!!!!

Oh, and it has to last for at least 45 minutes, none of this minute, forty-five second stuff in the naked knitting series!!!!

Great post hot stuff!

Wow, you are so professional! Leave it to the actual knitting itself to make another knitter! I'm impressed.

Do you post pix and vids online? I ask because pix from this would be good on the Makezine pool on Flickr.

You've already got the video on YouTube which is excellent.

Oh my god.

I am laughing here. Laughing hysterically. Not at you... oh no, never at you...

You know why....

That was fun. I was going to make a comment about fascinating, thrilling, and action packed video making but that might be taken as sarcastic.

We wouldn't want that now, would we?

So, you may have noticed on my blog that I have taught myself to knit.

Just for the record, that looks really complicated and I will never be doing that particular piece.

Am am considering learning purl though. At this point I'm just doing that most basic of basic stitches, I don't even know what it's called, maybe just knit...

What I'm saying is, wow, I'm impressed!

I know you didn't mean it that way, but "intense putzing" sounds kind of erotic!
