A few pictures from the trip

We left on New Year's Day and our first stop was Denver. I took this while we were in the "smoking lounge" waiting for our connecting flight. To enlarge any of the pictures, just click on them.

We went on several hikes. This park in LA featured some sculptures. I liked the humorous graffiti on this one.

Who's a pretty boy? This is sonny, Donna's dog.

Me and Donna on the patio. The first couple days were quintessential California. Balmy 70 degree temperatures in January.

I took several pictures such as this one. The sky was stunning before and after the big storm. This is a deserted Santa Monica beach at sunset.

The annual gingerbread men decorating party produced dazzling results again.

Here we are at Dad's house with his dog Tina. Cutest little thing ever. And a real love muffin.

On the last day, Em taught me how to purl stitch. Up until now, I've only done the knit stitch. She got me started on a pair of socks. We figure by the time I get to the heels, it'll be summer and I'll be out visiting again, and then she can teach me how to do the heel.

We spent every day visiting friends or family, so there's lots of those kinds of photos that are probably less interesting to the public. Still, I put together a little collage as I like to do after a trip. Watch if you'd like.

"Cutest little thing ever. And a real love muffin."

Is this a reference to Tina or to Serge?

That sunset is gorgeous!

So happy you guys had a goodtime. There's nothing like a warm California evening in the winter. The sky, the sun, the sand. Looks like you had a fun time. My grandmother tried to show me how to crochet one time. I wonder if she knew about me....hum.

I'm also glad you two are back. And yeah, I always find your photos and videos entertaining. Welcome back to the cold (although, as luck would have it, you returned during the January thaw)...

I so enjoyed the travel pictures and the video. The music was lively, although I was kinda hoping to hear your sexy voice telling us who and what the pictures were about. Sara may have smelled the other dogs on your clothing. She would have loved to meet them in person, next year? Anyway safe at home and none the worse for wear.
Oh, it was down to 2 degrees F. here one day then warmed up to 70 degrees F. now back to 40 degrees F. I wonder why I have such a cold? Ed

It's funny-- that pic of you and Serge so reminds me of pics of R and I. He is you and I am Serge, height-wise, and you are tending to resemble R a bit more and more.

I too love the happy video and your musical choices!! So sweet, and fun to see. Em looks so happy to be with you, in fact, everyone does. You are loved. I wish I had a chance to eat one of those delightful looking cookies! Happy New Year and welcome home.

How nice for em and Donna to see you when you were in California.

Wish you could have fit me in too.

C'est Fantastique! (warning: I'm not a French expert) I think everyone should vacation in warm places.

Next year I want to do a gingerbread man party. I'm stealing that idea.

I feel like I should learn to knit, seems like everyone's doing it.

The Boy and I intended to make a ginger bread train this year and talked about adding ginger bread men in dirty poses... but then we forgot and ran out of time. ;-(

Ahhh, California. At least it gave you a nice storm to remember home by. I just got back from SoCal myself and it's just completely ridiculous how nice the weather is there. No wonder everyone is trying to cross the border to get there.
